For the month of January, Angelo will donate 5% of all jewelry sales to the Amazon Conservation Association.
This excerpt from their website helps to illustrate the importance of their mission:
“The world’s largest wilderness moderates the weather where you live. The Amazon Basin pumps oxygen into the atmosphere, scrubs out carbon pollutants, and generates 20% of the fresh water on the planet. At the same time, it is providing a home for nearly a third of the plant and animal species on Earth. Each mature rainforest tree produces enough oxygen for ten people. If we’re going to reverse global climate change, we need the Amazon’s help. And the Amazon needs ours.”
On First Friday, February 5, one of our jewelry artists will be here for a trunk show. Inspired by nature, Stacey Krantz produces a line of minimalist sterling silver and 18k gold jewelry that is handcrafted using traditional metalsmithing techniques. The designs incorporate fabricated and cast elements, pearls and diamonds into understated, wearable pieces. We hope you’ll be able to join us!
And don’t forget to see Christine Tucker’s oil paintings! They will be on display through the end of February.
